Caribbean Preparatory Regional Meeting on Small Island Developing States

FAO Special Event: "Addressing major threats for improved livelihoods and sustainable development in the Caribbean SIDS"

The FAO-facilitated special event at the Caribbean Preparatory Meeting is expected to provide the opportunity for the countries in the Caribbean region to discuss regional priorities and concerns related to improved livelihoods and food security and achieve sustainable development. It will also present and promote dialogue on the ways and means to achieve transformative action through improved policy, capacity building and effective and well coordinated partnership in line with International SIDS conference objective. Furthermore, it will examine key areas and themes for the SIDS and the international community for elaboration of the post-2015 UN development agenda.
