Support to the Hunger-Free Initiative in Grenada

This project makes emphasis in supporting the interest and commitment of Grenada to develop and implement a Zero Hunger Challenge programme by ensuring synergies and partnerships with various stakeholders, governmental institutions and donors; facilitate coordination with other projects, programs and activities from FAO, the government and other partner agencies/stakeholders.

The project will also support the response of the Government of Grenada through its various structures (Ministerial committee, the National Authority Committee and the Implementation Committee) and special efforts will be made to reorient existing related programs/projects in the area of food and nutrition security and enhance the integration and coordination with various stakeholders and donors.

It constitutes a follow-up to the recent formulated Food and Nutrition Security policy and Action Plan for Grenada to ensure continuity and implementation and will strengthen national capacities at the coordination and implementation levels.
