FAO in special issue of IPC Policy in Focus Magazine on Universal Social Protection


With more than 120 million people worldwide dependent on fisheries and aquaculture for their livelihoods – and another 1.6 billion on forests – this article by FAO colleagues featured in a special issue of IPC Policy in Focus Magazine sheds light on the reasons why adequate social protection is considered today as a key instrument to overcome the specific vulnerabilities of these communities, contributing to reducing poverty and economic growth.

The December issue of Policy in Focus (a publication of the International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth) focuses on Universal Social Protection: a target for all.
