Soils week

United Nations General Assembly designated December 5th as World Soil Day and declared 2015 as the International Year of Soils. 

Soils don’t have a voice, and few people speak out for them. We need to highlight them and to ensure they are recognized by celebrating World Soil Day every year on 5th of December

On this occasion, and during all the week from 30th November until 4th of December, we will organize an exhibition on the International Year of Soils and World Soils Day with the title “We depend on Soils – It is time to work on it”, with the aim to communicate to the European decision makers the importance of protecting our soils. 

The messages of the exhibition are the ones elaborated within the frame of the International Year of Soils.

It is not only a traditional photo exhibition, but we have tried to create a sort of “art installation” with real soil and real fruits and vegetables, in order to attract the attention of our public in the European Parliament.
