Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations and ministries of Fisheries and Agriculture launched six TeleFood projects over last weekend, worth over two million dalasi (US$ 75.000) in the communities of Nyagen and Bakadagi in CRR North; Brikamanding and Jareng in CRR South; Jendeh and Jarkaba in URR.

The projects include horticulture, fisheries, forestry, livestock and food processing, preservation, and the aim of these projects, among others, is to address the problems of the women vegetable growers, thereby assisting them to acquire resources beyond their purchasing power as well as accessibility to provide and strengthen infrastructure for sustainable vegetable production.
