The Country Programming Framework (CPF) sets out three government priority areas to guide the FAO partnership with and support to the Government of Sri Lanka – bringing together innovative international practices and global standards with national and regional expertise over five years from 2018 to 2022.

The overarching goal of FAO’s programme in Sri Lanka continues to be the reduction of food insecurity, malnutrition and vulnerabilities, and the sustainable management and use of the country’s natural resources.

22 August, Colombo – Consultative meeting on incorporating biosafety into the tertiary level curriculum in Sri Lanka, an activity under the National Biosafety Project implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Mahaweli Development, and FAO.
