FAO’s Statistical Capacity Assessment survey for SDG Indicators provides insights about member countries' national statistical systems in regard to their capacity to monitor and report the 21 SDG indicators under FAO custodianship. Methods and data
FAO is the custodian UN agency for 21 SDG indicators and is a contributing agency for a further 5. In this capacity, FAO is supporting countries’ efforts in monitoring the 2030 Agenda.

As the custodian organization for 21 SDG indicators and a contributing agency to another five indicators, FAO plays a critical role in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. With the aim of assisting Member Countries in this global effort, the organization has developed a series of e-learning courses on SDG indicators under FAO custodianship. The goal? To support national statisticians and other government officers in their data collection, analysis and reporting of SDG indicators and therefore, help all stakeholders better understand progress made in achieving the SDGs.
