The purpose of this publication is to assist the facilitators of Farmer Field Schools as well as other extension agents to lead discussions on the protection of children from pesticides. It can also be used to conduct similar discussions at community level. It is sub-divided into three sessions: Session 1: How are children exposed to pesticides? Session 2: What are the negative effects of pesticides on health and human development? Why are children at greater risk? Session 3: What can we do to reduce children’s exposure to pesticides in our community?
