Growing Business with Smallholders - A Guide to Inclusive Agribusiness

This hand-s on guide for practitioners is aimed at supporting private sector companies interested in developing business relationships with smallholders. It provides a framework that identifies common challenges, highlights solutions and shows how these can be implemented through cooperation at different levels. The guiding framework provides the following Sections: Section 1: Discover; Section 2: Assess; Section 3: Plant; Section 4: Nurture; Section5: Harvest. The guide aims to support company representatives engaging in inclusive agribusiness practices with practical tools and a comprehensive overview of potential solutions and collaborative approaches. It can be used in training devoted to private sector in developing linkages with small-scale farmers and can also be of use to other training audiences such as development agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), intermediaries and other organisations also working to develop and support inclusive agribusiness.
