This manual provides information on postharvest practices for horticultural crops. The practices described in this manual are not meant to be a comprehensive list of postharvest handling practices, but a starting point for low-input and/or small-scale handlers of horticultural commodities. Practices provided in this manual should be tested and importantly compared to current practices, so as to enable, where needed, modified practices that may suit handlers and local conditions better. The manual is not intended as a training manual per se, but has been used and can be used successfully in training programs and courses.
