Homestead Gardening - A Manual for Program Managers, Implementers, and Practitioners

2008

This manual is not intended as a one-stop shop for improved farming practices, nor does it cover all the potential techniques used in homestead gardening. Rather, it is a compilation of best practices and successful activities. The manual is written for use by program managers, implementers, and practitioners. Each chapter attempts to set the stage for the reader to understand fundamental principles of homestead gardening in order to better understand how the techniques may be adapted to unique environmental challenges, climate conditions, and overall context in which the activities are implemented.
