Guidelines for Wildlife Disease Risk Analysis

Year of publication 2014
Human-induced changes in the environment have fundamentally changed the way disease affects not only wildlife but also entire ecosystems. These changes required a way of looking at diseases that also consider the political and economic value of wildlife and the consequences of biodiversity loss due to diseases. The disease risk analysis (DRA) tool aims to achieve the latter by providing a framework to analyse and manage the possible outcome of situations involving diseases. This Guideline provides decision makers with the information needed to integrate this process into their work.
