05/12/2018

Welcome to the special edition of FAO Tanzania newsletter that focuses on the 2018 World Food Day celebrations!

In October this year FAO Tanzania in collaboration with the World Food Programme, International Fund for Agricultural Development and the Government of Tanzania organized a series of activities and events across the country to mark the 2018 World Food Day.

The events included a panel discussion on zero hunger that was held at the Sokoine University of Agriculture in Morogoro, field trips to the rice postharvest management project and Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor partners in Iringa and Mbeya, public exhibitions in Songwe region and Pemba in Zanzibar.

Other activities included media interviews with local and international media all meant to raise awareness about efforts to achieve zero hunger by 2030.  Hope you will enjoy reading this newsletter, which will take you through these activities and many more.
