OPEC fund for International Development

The OPEC fund for International Development is funding three SPFS projects in Cambodia, Haiti and Sudan totalling US$700 000. In Cambodia, the project will give assistance to Cambodia's national food security programme by strengthening the capacity of extension staff and farmer trainers, support for independent farmer organizations and assistance in building a national network among farmers, NGOs and the Cambodian Government. In Haiti, the project will improve household food security and the sustainable management of natural resources. In the Sudan, the project aims to diversify and increase crop productivity in vulnerable farming communities and enhance income and livelihood security among 10 000 vulnerable families.
