EX-ACT results validation

A central precondition for the use of GHG calculators is to credibly verify that the resulting GHG estimations give a realistic approximation of the actual occurring changes in GHG emissions and sinks. Besides its rigorous foundation on the estimation standards established by the IPCC, EX-ACT GHG estimations were for this purpose compared to the GHG estimations from other GHG tools.

On the following sub-pages we present the comparison of EX-ACT results to other methodologies used as part of the BioCarbon Fund and the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Alliance.

The comparison shows that the methodologies lead to strongly similar estimations of emission results. The AgER project - also presented on this page - instead underlined which difference nevertheless still exist between different methodologies.
