FAO/ITALY COOPERATIVE PROGRAMME

FAO/Italy: a longstanding collaboration

Background

The collaboration between Italy and FAO, established in 1982 has allowed integrating and harmonizing the strategic priorities both of FAO and the Italian Development Cooperation/Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to pursue a common objective, that is the fight against hunger and poverty in the poorest areas of the world.

In this Web site, a summary of the ongoing multi-bilateral and multilateral projects is made available. Specifically, these projects are funded through the annual voluntary contributions of the Italian Government to FAO and are managed by the FAO/Italy Cooperative Programme, within the Donor Relation and Resource Mobilization Team (TCSR) of the FAO Technical Cooperation Department (TC).

Here you will find a comprehensive description of the whole FAO/Italy Cooperative Programme and its main components:

You will find also some other information concerning the APO Programme and Emergencies and Rehabilitation activities, to which the Italian commitment is directed as well.
