GTFS/GAZ/022/ITA - Agricultural Revitalization Programme (ARP) Pilot Project Revitalization Programme

Objective Develop, test and evaluate field interventions which are viable in order to assess technical, social, financial, economic and environmental impact during the full Agricultural Revitalization Programme (ARP) implementation.
Activities and Outcomes The outcomes of the project are to: 1) Rehabilitate the production base and small infrastructure when damaged or inadequate; 2) Increase the availability and efficient use of natural resources (land, water and genetic resources); 3) Reduce production costs and increase production yields, quality and marketability; 4) Introduce and spread new management practices; 5) Build local capacities. The project developed, tested and evaluated field interventions in two main sectors identified for support under the ARP: small ruminants and horticulture. Pilot activities took place in four selected areas (Bethlehem, Hebron, Gaza and Tulkarm) in order to assess their technical, social, financial, economic and environmental impact.
