Impact Assessment of Development Policies Using Accounting Frameworks: Static and Dynamic Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) Models
The Policy Assistance Support Service is organising an internal training on Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models for policy analysis that is addressed to national contributors to the project “Impact Assessment of development paradigms and related policies”. The training is funded by the project Impact Assessment of Development Paradigms and Related Policies, FMM/GLO/008/MUL-B07.
About 15 analysts from 3 countries will be participating from Bangladesh, Burkina Faso and Kenya, from the ministries of Economy, Agriculture, Planning, Trade and Finance.
The training aims to provide them with an up-to-date overview of the use of tools for quantitative policy analysis, in particular dynamic CGEs.
After the training the groups of analysts will assess the recent development paradigms and related policies adopted by their respective countries and provide recommendations on selected long term development policy issues to their governments.
