The Ministerial Meeting on Climate Change Technology Transfer addressed technology transfer challenges and opportunities for mitigation and adaptation.
Meeting objectives: i) To operationalse technology transfer, ii) to explore paths to increase public and private partnerships and investments and iii) to stimulate and encourage opportunities for South-South technology cooperation.

The Ministerial conference for launching the Paris- Nairobi Climate Initiative: Clean Energy for All in Africa and countries most vulnerable to climate change was the second event.
Meeting objectives: To achieve universal access to modern energy services by 2030.
Outcome
FAO has put forward the huge technology transfer need to allow for an appropriate switch from current agriculture systems to climate smart agriculture which is promoted by FAO and World Bank.
Technical units from both UNEP and UNIDO, agreed to facilitate FAO partnership in Climate change Technology transfer Network. UNEP is covering networking, technology centres, enabling policies while ADB is on technology mainstreaming, catalyzing investments establishing a pilot market place.
