overseeing FAO's work on agricultural and economic policy advice, country information, policy intelligence and monitoring, and capacity and institutional building; coordination of policy and food security analysis and delivery work; support to Regional Economic Integration Organizations, including the African Union, its NEPAD programme and Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP); Co-chair of the Corporate CAADP Task Team; Co-coordinator of the FAO Initiative on Soaring Food Prices; Chair of the Zimbabwe country focus team; Co-chair of the Ethiopia/Horn of Africa focus team; Alternate Chair of the Professional Staff Selection Committee,  Alternative Chair of the Field Staff Selection Committee.
