Policy formulation and policy dialogue regarding food security, agricultural trade and Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Issues; and agricultural investment, currently working on a Japanese-funded project to support to study on appropriate policy measures to increase agricultural investments to stimulate food production.

Various posts at the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (1991-2009) with extensive international experience, including the International Economic Affairs Division where he was Involved in high level policy dialogues such as G8, APEC and the WTO Doha-Round trade negotiations and the International Standard Division where he was involved in setting international food standard, in particular, the Codex Alimentarius Commission.
