Resource mobilization
|
| |
By pooling resources and sharing knowledge, FAO and its partners contribute to global efforts to eradicate chronic hunger and poverty and improve access to food for the poor and vulnerable.
FAO works with a variety of resource partners including traditional partners such as OECD member countries, the private sector, foundations, and local authorities through decentralized cooperation. FAO is engaging in a range of partnerships with new middle income countries that have shifted their role from recipient to donor, such as Brazil, China and Turkey. There has been also an expansion of activities through South-South Cooperation, which allows for an exchange of technical expertise between Member countries.
Our resource partners contribute to FAO’s work through financial and human resources as well as in-kind contributions.
