Launch of IMPACT folder

FAO has recently launched IMPACT, a folder filled with information about FAO’s focus areas and related success stories. The folder illustrates the work and impact of FAO and its role in connecting the field to national, regional and global initiatives.The seven focus areas, which represent FAO’s comparative advantages, and the success stories, which range from local projects to global programmes, provide snapshots of what FAO has introduced, what it has improved and, most of all, what it has left behind in terms of its contribution to food and nutrition security and sustainable natural resource management.

IMPACT illustrates how FAO works together with governments, the public and private sector and civil society, to achieve the ultimate aim of eradicating hunger.

This packet can form an important element of FAO’s resource mobilization efforts. The seven focus areas have been chosen by FAO Members because they are areas that will greatly benefit from additional resources.  The success story design templates will also be made available online so technical units and country and regional offices can add their own stories, highlighting the synergies between field, regional and global levels.
