TCA acts as an interface between the normative policy work of FAO departments and the policy assistance provided to Members through its decentralized branches and units located in Regional and Subregional Offices in Africa (Accra and Harare); Asia and the Pacific (Bangkok and Apia); Europe (Rome and Budapest); Latin America and the Caribbean (Santiago and Bridgetown); and the Near East (Cairo and Tunis).

TCA serves as the Secretariat to an interdepartmental Policy Task Force to ensure policy harmonization wtih FAO and the provision of synergized corporate services to Member Nations.
