Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD)

The Libyan Arab Jamahiriya is funding five SPFS projects in CEN-SAD member countries as part of its commitment to the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD). The projects in Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Niger and the Sudan total US$9.3 million and were officially established following a signing ceremony in December 2003 at FAO Headquarters in Italy.

CEN-SAD is an organization of 18 member countries which works for regional integration, security and stability.
