FAO's cooperation with Turkey is centered on three priority areas:

  • “Food and Nutrition Security and Food Safety” with a view to improving food quality and safety at all stages in the food chain;
  • Sustainable use of natural resources and raising awareness on climate change impacts;
  • “Institutional Capacity of Public and Private Sectors" enhancement by providing technical assistance for strengthening both public and private sector organizations, developing training programmes and national and international agricultural data for institutions.

Covid-19 Rapid Impact Assessment on the Agri-Food Sector and Rural Areas in Turkey” Report Launch Event will take place on 2 March 2021, Tuesday between 11:00 and 13:00, with presentation of Ilkay DellalThis study, focusing on the impact of the pandemic on agriculture, food and rural sectors beyond the visible issues, was prepared using the expertise of FAO, UNDP, IFAD and MoAF in their respective fields.
