The exhibition path of both Pavilion Zero and the UN is marked by the UN Stele: large back-lit panels with a strong visual identity linked to the scenery of the pavilion. The UN Stele on Zero Waste, Zero Losses is located in the room of Waste, where the waste of food often occurring at consumer level is highlighted and the Stela reminds the visitors that one pillar of the Zero Hunger Challenge is Zero loss or waste of food. This Stele features a quote by José Graziano da Silva, FAO Director-General, who highlights the anomaly of a world that produces enough food to feed everyone, while simultaneously 795 million suffer from hunger.
The UN Stele were designed by Architettura - Studio Cerri & Associati s.r.l., copywriter Luca Masia; petroglyph images provided by Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici.
