As part of the collaboration with Progetto Scuole, the UN-Expo Team offers school groups the chance to visit some of the highlights of the UN’s presence at Expo Milano 2015. With the support of the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR), during this visit students will be given the opportunity to learn about the United Nations’ theme for Expo Milano 2015, “The Zero Hunger Challenge. United for a sustainable world” and their novel horizontal presence at the world exposition.
Everyday hundreds of students will start their tour at the UN Garden with a presentation about the United Nations at Expo before heading to Pavilion Zero for a guided visit. Both of these locations are important stops on the UN Itinerary as they are the main meeting points with the public, and reinforce the links between the UN and Expo’s theme, “Feeding the Planet. Energy for life”. Almost 20,000 students will take part in these school visits and be welcomed by the UN-Expo Team over the remaining two months of Expo Milano 2015.
