FAO Conference

As of 17 November 2007, FAO has 191 Member Nations and 1 Member Organization, the European Community) and 1 Associate Member (Faroe Islands). The Conference is the supreme governing body of FAO that meets in regular session every two years. Its main functions are to determine the policies of the Organization, approve the Programme of Work and Budget, and make recommendations to Members and international organizations. It is attended by all Members of the Organization, as well as by observers from non-Member Nations, intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental organizations.
