Quito: participatory urban agriculture project (AGRUPAR)

Author: FAO, EStà, Municipality of Quito

The selling is enhanced by carrying out alternative local marketing projects called “bioferias”. The programme has strong potential in terms of food producers’ livelihood improvement, job creation, food and nutrition security and democratization of the food system.
