Definititon
Acid soils with a bleached horizon penetrating into a clay-rich  subsurface horizon.

Distribution
An extensive belt of Albeluvisols stretches eastward from the Baltic Sea across Russia into central Siberia. Scattered smaller areas occur in western Europe and the United States. Altogether there are approximately 320 million hectares of Albeluvisols, associated with Luvisols, Gleysols and Podzols
