As of 2006, Food Supply Situation and Crop Prospects in sub-Saharan Africa (Africa Report) and Foodcrops and Shortages were consolidated into a new publication, Crop Prospects and Food Situation, which is issued in four languages and print as well as electronic format, four times per year. To allow for more frequent updates, the country-by-country assessments of food security previously presented in Foodcrops and Shortages can now be found in the GIEWS Country Briefs, accessible through the GIEWS web site. The country-specific statistics on cereal supply and demand, previously included in Food Supply Situation and Crop Prospects in sub-Saharan Africa, are also available on the GIEWS web site.
