GROUPS OF SPECIES
Fish production data are presented by 50 groups of species constituting the 9 divisions of the FAO International Standard Statistical Classification of Aquatic Animals and Plants (ISSCAAP).
For each ISSCAAP group, the table below indicates the corresponding codes in the FISH PRODUCTION and FISHERY DATA - Primary Products domains.
Differences between the production data of primary products of the Fishery Data domain and those of the Fish Production domain are due to the different timing of updating of the source databases. In case of difference between the two sets of data, those in FISH PRODUCTION domain are the most up to date.
