The changing climate that confronts food production can have a significant effect on crop losses due to pest and diseases.

 

An example of a pest currently impacting as a result of climate change is emerald ash borer in North America.

 

The IPPC seminar will provide a summary of the Paris Climate Change Conference from 30 November to 11 December 2015; then a more in-depth look at climate change and agriculture in general; and finally a look at plant health and climate change.

 

The seminar will end with a discussion between speakers and those present.
