Strengthening local food systems for inclusive growth: Scaling up "Purchase from Africans for Africa" - Tuesday morning session

The Purchase from Africans for Africa (PAA Africa) International Seminar will present African countries’ priorities on linking pro family farming investments to social protection through local food procurement for school meals initiatives.
Panellists will present recommendations on ways forward on technical assistance for strengthen school feeding programmes with food purchases from farmers´ organizations under the pillar three of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP). The PAA Africa programme’s monitoring results and preliminary technical assistance plans in support to the African country’s priorities will be presented to promote dialogue with resource partners, government representatives and farmers’ organisations.
The meeting is in English, with French, Portuguese and Spanish interpretations (in the room).
