FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva leads the presentation of "The State of Food and Agriculture. Climate change, agriculture, and food security" report, which offers evidence-based suggestions on how the agriculture sectors can contribute to stabilizing the global climate while still raising output to eradicate hunger.

 

It emphasizes the need to enable smallholder farmers to adopt economically viable and sustainable farming practices and indicates the role public climate finance must play, emphasizing the need to link and leverage such measures by aligning food, farming, nutrition, environmental and dietary policies.
