Presentation of the Global Report on Food Crises 2017

A new public product opening access to consensus-based food insecurity vital analysis drawn from multiple institutions. The compilation of this fresh released report opened doors to a politically innovative collaboration between the EU and UN Agencies (FAO, UNICEF, WFP), FEWS NET, Joint Research Centre, and regional bodies (CILSS, IGAD, SICA). It presents findings on the countries facing high severity and magnitude of acute food insecurity.
FAO is pleased to present the results of the report and the global network initiative to promote better-informed and coordinated decisions to respond to food crises.
