The livestock sector can contribute directly or indirectly to the achievement of each of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However the achievement of some of the targets could conflict with the accomplishment of others. To better support the transformation needed in the livestock sector and enhance its contribution to the SDGs, this global report examines the sector’s interaction with each of the Goals, as well as the potential synergies, trade-offs, and complex interlinkages involved.
