The Secretariat of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) aims to present the results of the Study Report on the “Impact of Climate Change on Plant Pests: a Global Challenge to Prevent and Mitigate Plant-Pest Risks in Agriculture, Forestry and Ecosystems’’
It will encourage further discussions on assessing and managing the impacts of climate change on plant health, the priorities for action and the way forward. It also aims to gain media attention in order to enhance overall public understanding of the topic.
