End Poverty and Hunger and Secure the Right to Food - Exchanging Knowledge through South South and Triangular Cooperation
Rome time
The side-event aims to share successful experience on hunger and poverty eradication from China, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal and Chad. The first four are part of the Knowledge Exchange Platforms on poverty reduction (KEPs), a tool to facilitate direct knowledge exchange among countries facing similar challenges, and foster mutual cooperation to meet SDG 1 and SDG 2 by 2030. The event also seeks to engage member countries in a discussion on the strategies and policies needed as well as the challenges faced in achieving SDG 1 and SDG 2. Participants will also reflect on the role of South-South and Triangular Cooperation as a tool to assess, adapt and apply successful practices for poverty reduction at global scale.
