International Women’s Day “I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights"

The three Rome-based UN food agencies will celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day with an event that will bring together Member States, the international community, high-level experts, civil society and other stakeholders to discuss how we can close the existing gender gaps in agriculture and rural livelihoods, and how doing so will contribute to achieving progress for all.
The FAO Director General will open the event with the heads of IFAD and WFP.
