CPM-11. Opening session. Contributing to food security and trade facilitation

The governing body of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) - the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) - meets in Rome for its 11th session.
The session will be opened by Mr. Daniel Gustafson, FAO Deputy Director General of Operations. The Keynote Address on Plant Health and Food Security will be delivered by Dr. Rudy Rabbinge from the Wageningen University, the Netherlands. Mr. Jingyuan Xia, the Secretary to the IPPC will talk on IPPC towards 2020 focusing on strategic issues in plant protection relevant to the IPPC.
