Converting electronic documents into other formats is not always an easy task. The most common procedure is to convert a Word document into PDF, which is an easy step if you have Acrobat Distiller (part of the full Adobe Acrobat package) or CutePDF (a free tool that converts Word documents into simple PDF files).

Conversion into HTML is more difficult, especially if you have a large document that you cannot convert manually (as you would do if you have a simple Web page to prepare). There are software such as HTML Transit that are very efficient in converting documents into HTML, but they require some time to learn and in some cases they can be very expensive.

In general, it is recommended to outsource the conversion of large documents - it will be cheaper, quicker and more efficient!
