3.5 How to track and share planning decisions

Policy

It is recommended to organize a kick-off meeting at the start of a new system development project, with all parties involved.

  1. invite all stakeholders from the Department/Division/Service (project sponsor, Web site manager, etc and staff from OCP and CIO) to review the basic requirements and contribute to their refinement;
  2. timing: it is recommended that the kick-off meeting be held after some planning information has been assembled; and
  3. write a project charter when the planning information has been collected and you have answers to all your questions .
