2.7a Static content

In the early days of the Web, content was almost entirely static HTML and text documents. A static page is simply passed to a requesting browser without changes. That is, every time a user accesses a static Web page, they would see the same content. The content of a static page appears without involving parameters or a user-defined query. Static content can be created/edited by an HTML editor or Content Management System (CMS). Static pages may contain some local (browser-based) processing using HTML scripting languages such as JavaScript or DHTML.
