World Food Day, 16 October 2017

People around the world talk about their personal struggles and how FAO is helping to give them a choice.

We want you to tell us how food security and rural development can change the future of migration. There are two ways you can do this. Design a poster or produce a video on the World Food Day theme to enter the 2017 competition.

Every year, a large number of events - from marathons and hunger marches, to exhibitions, cultural performances, contests and concerts – are organised in around 150 countries across the world to celebrate World Food Day.

In 2015, there were 244 million international migrants, representing an increase of 40% since 2000. They included 150 million migrant workers. Find out more about FAO’s work on migration here.
