World Food Day

An exhibition in the FAO Atrium will take place during the World Food Week, 14 – 18 October 2019.

Italy, 16/10/2019 16/10/2019

This year’s exhibit will take visitors to the market for a Zero Hunger world - a journey through facts, figures, actions, tips, stories and recipes for healthier diets and healthier lives. Our market is a place where food, tradition, knowledge, innovation, culture and action all come together. Here you will be able to explore the roles of different members of society in transforming food systems and making healthy diets a reality for all: governments, the private sector, farmers, educators, youth, and you. Our market will show how food and agriculture are at the core of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It will remind visitors that our actions today, every day – no matter how small – can and will shape our future.

In addition to the exhibit in the Atrium, there will be a photo exhibit on the third floor of A building and the eighth floor of D building. This exhibition will show how different people are taking action for healthy diets, alongside market scenes from around the world depicting some of the food groups that are essential to a healthy diet.
