The Regional Office for Europe has the responsibility of preparing and servicing three regional Statutory Bodies meetings : (i) The FAO Regional Conference for Europe (convened under Article VI.5 of the Constitution while the terms of reference and constitutional status were established through Resolution No. 14/69); (ii) The European Commission on Agriculture (ECA) and (iii) The ECA Working Party on Women and the Family in Rural Development. These two meetings are convened under Article VI-1 of the Constitution which states:
"The Conference or Council may establish Commissions, the membership of which shall be open to all Member Nations and Associate Members, or Regional Commissions open to all Member Nations and Associate Members whose territories are situated in the region, to advise on the formulation and implementation of policy and to coordinate the implementation of policy..."
