RNE works closely with stakeholders in Member Countries to promote knowledge management for rural and agricultural development and fosters regional and international collaboration and partnership under the World Agricultural Information Centre (WAICENT) framework. RNE facilitates thematic and institutional networks for agricultural knowledge exchange, as well as accessing and sharing related information and knowledge. Collaboration areas include:

• Improving efficiency, quality and relevance of knowledge exchange and dissemination in agriculture;

• Using electronic media to enhance communication for rural and agriculture development; and

• Supporting capacity development for existing and prospective networks at regional, sub-regional, and national levels.
