[Home]

TCP is funded from FAO's Regular Programme Budget and provides assistance and technical input in the form of experts consultancy as well as provision of essential equipment and supplies. TCP funds are restricted to urgent or specific problems and needs which involve practical action with well-defined objectives and results.

In Ethiopia , FAO through TCP projects, is assisting in capacity building, support to address the issue of health constraints to export marketing of meat and livestock, control of sorghum chaffer, cactus production and utilization, rubber development, Xerovac Vaccine Technology for the Protection of Livestock and Poultry and Pastoral Communities Development. Through the emergency TCP projects FAO helps the country in its efforts to improve food security and decrease reliance on food aid by distributing seeds and farm tools to destitute farmers in drought prone areas.
